Proper equipment is a must to ensure your enjoyment and safety.  Here are some suggestions:

Summer Hikes

  • Down Parka for Cold Weather
  • Rain Gear (Goretex or coated nylon)

  • Wool Socks and Liner
  • Space Blanket (for emergencies)
  • Waterproof Boots
  • Bag for dirty hiking boots
  • Change of shoes
  • Extra clothing: Socks, Gloves, etc.

  • Water (usually 2 liters per person)
